Working draft — a finalized policy (attorney-reviewed, on the Common Paper / Bonterms model) ships with our first customer agreements. The commitments below are the product's founding stances and will not weaken.

This website

• No advertising trackers and no cookies for visitors.
• If analytics are enabled, they are cookieless, aggregate page counts only.
• The demo-request form sends exactly what you type to the founder's inbox; it is not added to any marketing list.

Clinic data in the product

• Your clinic owns its data. Cairn is the steward, never the owner. Full export is available to you at any time, in standard machine-readable and human-readable formats, free.
• Veterinary records are confidential. We access clinic data only to operate and support the service, and we do not sell or share it.
• Data is encrypted in transit and at rest; access is role-restricted and logged with a full audit trail.
• Scribe audio is processed to produce the transcript and draft note, with client consent captured per encounter; audio is not retained as part of the record.
• We follow applicable breach-notification law (including Michigan's Identity Theft Protection Act, MCL 445.72, for owner personal information) and will notify affected clinics without unreasonable delay.
• Retention defaults respect state veterinary record-retention requirements; we never auto-purge inside a required retention window.
